NAATI CCL stands for Credentialed Community Language. It assesses a candidate’s ability to interpret conversations between English and another language.
The test contains two dialogues, with each dialogue divided into short segments for interpretation.
Each dialogue is worth 45 marks, for a total of 90 marks. Candidates need at least 63 marks overall and 29 marks in each dialogue to pass.
Candidates must begin interpreting within 5 seconds after the chime.
NAATI’s current candidate instructions allow one repeat per dialogue without penalty. Additional repeats may result in marks being deducted.
